About

My name is Kelly Miller, born and raised in Detroit Michigan, now married and still residing in the Metro Detroit area. I’ve decided to use Kelica as a stage name just to keep it a little less common. I’ve been singing and wanting to perform in front of people since I was a small child, putting on shows for friends and neighbors with singing and dancing.

Currently I sing in my Church choir and for senior citizens in nursing homes. I really enjoy putting a smile on their faces. I also sing in a trio call The WhatAbouts. We sing songs of 1960’s girl groups like the Supremes and The Marvelettes. We perform at car shows, festivals, dinner shows and private parties. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to make my own CD. I made this CD in tribute to my mom, Kathleen Walker, who passed away in 2010. She was my biggest fan and would often play a recorded performance of me to her friends while bragging about me. I miss her very much. While I enjoy singing all types of music from standards and ballads dating back to the 30’s and harmonizing the 60’s music with the girls in my group, it’s Christian/ Gospel music that is special to me. I feel like it touches people on a different level, spiritually.

This CD is a mixture of traditional hymns to more contemporary songs. There should be something for everyone here. My hopes are that it will help some people with music for wedding celebrations and help soothe others through a funeral proceeding.

Thank you for taking interest in my music and if you are interested in contacting me to book an event, please send me an email from the contact page.
